About: Cormac Gordon is an award-winning sportswriter and columnist for the Staten Island Advance who has covered numerous World Series, Triple Crown races, NCAA college hoop tournaments and NBA playoffs in his 30 years in the business. He is a former beat writer of St. John's University basketball and still the Advance beat writer covering Wagner College hoops.
