He is a graduate of BCLUW High School, and the University of Northern Iowa. His roots are in eastern Iowa and he’s thrilled to come back to the Corridor. Owen has seen an untraditional career in journalism. After graduating from UNI, he spent time in production at KCRG and KWWL before taking two years away from television to work in the international mission field for a Christian organization called World Race. In 2016, Owen got his first full-time sports position at KEYC in Mankato, Minnesota. From there he became Sports Director at CBS14, where he’s won several awards for his reporting and anchoring, along with two nominations for Regional Emmy Awards. He has a deep love for traveling. He’s been to all 48 continental states and 36 countries on 5 continents.
