About: Pete Yanity lives for two things: his wonderful family and covering sports. Pete has been anchoring and covering sports for more than 35 years, and it’s been both his hobby and passion all of his life. Pete said the passion and the job become one and the same at 7NEWS. He’s been the sports director and main anchor for the 7NEWS Sports Team since arriving at WSPA-TV in October 1990.
